New York, NY If you are in pain, get an appointment with Gene ASAP. I've suffered chronic neck pain for years now, and have never felt more immediate relief than I did after a massage with Gene. The massage is incredibly effective and efficient, but also relaxing. I've had countless massages, and have never felt more relief than I did after a massage here. Miracle worker! |

Jackson, WY I had high expectations after reading the reviews. My expectations were even exceeded. I've had severe lower back pain for the past two years. I've gone to numerous massage therapists who are not able to give me the deep tissue I need. Gene is highly skilled at deep tissue and like others have mentioned he knows the body and is incredibly thorough and comprehensive. I feel limber, pain-free and relaxed. He suggested stretching exercises for me to do between massages I will definitely be back! |

Manhattan, NY Gene is a healer! He is the most knowledgeable, intuitive and talented Massage Therapist I have experienced. I was in chronic pain from spinal issues and had surgery, PT, injections and other massages. I decided it was time for Gene and was happy to get an appointment the next day. I knew while I was on his table that I was in very good hands! I have been seeing Gene weekly and am totally pain free. Not only is Gene's massage the best, so is his space. The spa is quiet, immaculate, private ( only 1 massage at a time) and relaxing. This is not a walk in situation. Appointments are necessary and handled efficiently. If you want to treat yourself to the best, I can not recommend Gene more highly!!! |

Manhattan, NY I discovered Gene's day spa over 1 year ago. I had gone to Physical therapy after joint surgery.I did well with Physio but it was seriously lacking in massage and heat treatment. I remained in excruciating chronic pain. I began looking for massage therapy and discovered Gene's day spa. Before I went I had difficulty walking ,and I was in chronic pain.The doctors I was seeing offered steroid injections, I could never say they helped. Since there is so much risk involved, I decided not to continue with the injections. After one massage treatment at Gene's day spa, my pain was so very much relieved,I could walk and move so much better. I felt as though I had wind under my feet.I could walk and climb the stair cases with ease. I had the same great experience each time I went. Mr. Choi was and is very kind caring and professional. Chronic pain is what it is, always there ,with the massage treatments I could function better and I received tremendous relief of my pain.. The treatments I received are worth every dollar spent. I feel so great that it seems miraculous at times and Mr Choi has not only knowledge but also a healing touch, in my opinion. He had taught me how to help myself,by using tennis balls and other great tips. The environment is clean calming and soothing. Mr. Choi is a quiet calm caring gentleman. Calling Jennifer to plan appointments is another great part of the service, she is a sweetheart always pleasant and helpful. |

Upper West Side, Manhattan, NY There are few things I look forward to than my every other week massage with Gene. after trying so my other places I feel I found the perfect place: quiet, relaxing and having Gene always knowing what areas to concentrate on. My back, neck etc. have gotten to the point where I feel fairly good in general and now I am able to maintain a level of well being I was not able to achieve before. His understanding of muscle, tendons and ligaments and how they interact has made me appeciative of his quiet no nonsense style of massage and the benefits I receive from his technique. |

Boston, MA Let me level with you. I'm a college student with stress that's destroying my body inside and out. I have constricted blood flow and knots all over my back that hurt to even touch. With the level of pain that I'm in, I decided that I should invest in an hour massage so that I could actually walk properly and not waddle from excruciating pain. In comparing prices, the price here is actually pretty decent given the quality and impact. Gene really listened carefully to everything I said and gave me frank feedback. It really was evident that he cared and wanted to make sure I got better. It was my first time getting a massage, but the environment was very comforting and calming. I almost fell asleep because of how relaxed I was! By the time my hour was up, I was in shock. I had NO MORE KNOTS. NO MORE PAIN. I'm going to come back here for a massage each break! |

New York, NY Gene is a genius. He has amazing intuition and knows exactly where to go and what to do. You don't have to say a word. His office is clean, quiet, private, he does not gossip, and the music is relaxing and inspirational. He is breaking down scar tissue built up over 43 years of repetitive movement teaching dance. He is realigning my arthritic hip and restoring strength and mobility. I feel like I am growing a new leg. I am able to climb the subway stairs without pain. He is giving me a new life! |

New York, NY I just had a great massage with Gene. I've had numerous massages but I truly believe he is the best. My back was hurting badly from the hiking that I did on a recent trip and I needed some relief. I didn't have to tell him anything. He figured out where the problem was and gently and firmly took care of everything. After the massage I felt every pain had gone. Then he gave me some really good advice so I could take care of myself better. |

New York, NY After reading so many great reviews, I felt confident that this is the right place to take my mom for her birthday. My mom works as a cleaning lady and takes care of my child so I was very picky on making sure she gets the best treatment out there and Gene Day Spa did just that and more. Gene is a very pleasant man and from what my mom told me, his hands are blessed by God! She could not stop thanking me for giving her a great gift and I am grateful I found Gene. Being a guy, I was hesitant to believe that a place with "spa" in the title could help with my medical condition, but boy was I wrong! Gene truly has magic hands and I felt the pain disappear after one visit. Best of all, he assigned stretches that I can do at home to keep me pain free between massages. New York, NY After reading all the reviews here, I decided to give Gene a try. His massage was relaxing and therapeutic. Gene even diagnosed a recent problem that I am having with my shoulder. He used enough pressure on this area so that it wouldn't feel so tight. Most importantly Gene recommended that I slow down with my workout routine because it is giving me some problems with my legs. I never expected all of this great attention to my joints. I am definitely going to be a regular here!!! |
